Had a cool idea and I need thoughts:
So like I was thinking about writing fanfics but then I’m like what do I write about? So I’m brainstorming and hear me out- a Shadow/Amy legally blonde AU!!
Crazy right? But then I’m like it could kinda make sense on a base level. I mean you got Amy as Elle, Shadow as Emmett, Sonic as Warner- it could work!
Still not entirely sure who to put for other characters since I literally just came up with this but we could go like Rouge as Paulette (and then knuckles could be the mailman wait that’s actually so funny). Maybe put Blaze as Vivian or maybe Sally (although I have very little knowledge of her character).
No clue what to do about professor Callahan, maybe robotnik? But that feels weird considering the plot so maybe just make him an oc?? Or of course we could switch up the plot but idk yet

Then I also thought about putting silver or the chaotix in there somewhere? And of course tails idk where to put him. And where would omega fit if he does at all? And is there going to be a dynamic between shadow and rouge? And what about age ups/gaps?? And as far as legally blonde goes im gonna need someone to be Brooke Wyndham and the delta nu girls.
Also to be clear I’m basing this off the musical version of legally blonde bc it is better- and I mean who doesn’t love Laura Bell Bundy and Christian Borle like cmon

See this is why I’m making a post I need help bc I really want to make this an au but like idk where to even start so please give me ur thoughts!
Like is this a good idea or am I just tripping?
Edit: GUYS SHES LITERALLY PINK LIKE COME ON GUYS PLEASE HEAR ME OUT BRO-

The end of legally blonde would hit so much better if Elle and Vivian ended up as a couple, and here's why
The way they set up Elle and Emmett is unsatisfying bc he's set up as her love interest. You can tell they'll end up together the second he's introduced. Vivian and Elle? Enemies to lovers, much more compelling. Plus (IMO) Emmett's boring. There's not much to his characterization and Elle jumping from mean blond white boy to nice brown haired white boy doesn't illustrate growth on her part.
It also works with the Canon lesbian character, Enid, who is initially judgmental and rude to Elle based on her appearance and speech pattern. She even outright accuses Elle of being homophobic early on. Making Elle sapphic makes the accusation more poignant, and it's "don't judge a book by its cover" message hits harder. As it is in the film, Elle and Enid don't really interact enough on screen to justify the turnaround (imo).
Finally, Vivian is a much more compelling character if she's gay. She's playing a part as much as Warner is, and her being closeted in order to succeed in the society she was raised in. We do see a subtle "coming out" process in her wardrobe change, going from turtle necks to crewnecks, but idk it's barely there. There's also a scene where she's regarding her engagement ring with her friend, and her face isn't exactly one of excitement. She's not necessarily into the idea of marrying Warner, she's fulfilling the societal prerequisites to success.
Chekov does seem to have left a few of his guns scattered through the plot that point toward this having been the intended endgame romance (ESPECIALLY the repeated juxtaposition of Elle and Enid. It happens more than i remembered tbh, but its p subtle and kinda slows down/stops after the first half). They just never go off. Instead, Elle ends up with Emmett in the epilogue text, not even on screen. Like it was tacked on.

What are the biggest ways Eloise has changed since we met her, and how do you think she's going to keep changing? 👀
Hello my friend!
Eloise's dealings in romance is the most obvious theme of the story, on a surface or new-reader level, her three relationships are what move the story along. But, I think there's more to telling her story than that. She's gone through a lot of grief that was, in a way, delayed until the events of the story. So much has happened within the span of about two years. Elle was privliged enough to have examples in two queens (Vivi and Hana) who taught with dignity, responsibility, and a good sense of leadership. However, their emotional baggage was so bottled and passed along that, in the time they had with her, it couldn't be effective. What she witnessed, really, was generational anger and grief at the cost of ones self, in Hana, Vivi, and Lorraine. She had learned that this was the Rodchester way of rule. In every act, though, those lessons came undone in a way that couldn't for any of her foremothers. In the first act she watched, as Viviane fell into her own past and as Arthur broke up with her. During the second, she took a more active role. Eloise trained, started working, and was apart of a situationship without attachment. She wasn't ready for what happened to her and Vivi, and just like her examples, Elle picked up her shit and carried on. In the third act, I think she did the most growing. She became a mother with righteous anger for the wrongs she percieved to have been done to her child. For a while, she was able to forgive and grow from Raheem and Violas debatable wrongdoings. As Queen, she was able to perform her duties with little change from the Status Quo, of course in the wave of nationalism that comes after horrible political violence aided in that, but it still wasn't easy. She had, like, four months of preperation while her simblr world co-workers are prepared from birth. I wish I would have focused more on the immediate aftermath. Though, the outcome would have been the same. When Eloise was at her lowest moment of private, even really from the audience, grief she trusted a man. Which isn't a mistake in and of itself, but by the time she learned his intentions it became one. When Elle was faced with this betrayal she turned inward, as she was taught. But of course it didn't work, this sort of self-sacrafice was eating her alive as it did to Vivi before her. Nothing Eloise was taught had worked for her and it may have taken a push from a very much involved outsider to realize that. Despite the story changing vastly from what I originally planned, her arc stayed the same. Eloise learned that what she and her foremothers were taught had irreparably harmed them and that if she wanted to grow, or forge a better path for herself and her future, she would need to make active and drastic change. In the end, Elle ensured Philippe's distressed loyalty to her and voiced her anger to the detriment of her close personal love and friendship, which she'd formerly held closest to herself. She's learning to value new, less personal, things between stories. For now, I can say that will manifest first in the reorganization of her council; she's no longer thinking as a successor, but as The Queen.

i would LOVE to know your thoughts on legally blonde movie vs musical!!!!!!!
Ooh boy where to start dude.
Firstly, I personally prefer the musical but that’s because I like musicals. I also think that song is a great way to convey character and theme. Love me a reprise. So this’ll be a little biased towards the musical. Also Imma focus a lot on character because that’s my favourite part of any media.
I think one of the biggest changes that interests me is with Callahan's whole deal and the repercussions of it. The decision to change the scene in the film into actual physical assault I think was a good choice because it raised the stakes and made Warner and Callahan look like bigger assholes. I also think that moment where Vivian recognises what has happened and shuts Warner up really enforces the idea that women have to stick together in male dominated fields like law and in some way it replaces the scene in the film where the female professor encourages Elle. I like the musical direction to have Vivian be the one to bring Elle back to law but I think it's important that in the film its an older woman in some position of power who is telling Elle to stick with it. There's a feeling of "this is a woman who has fought her way through" and her being rude to Elle earlier makes her encouragement hit even harder. Like I said I do like that Vivian takes her place and I understand why that female professor was taken out of the musical what with casting and time frame.
I overwhelmingly prefer Emmett in the musical. I think most people do because he gets so much more character development. I like the dichotomy emphasised in their backgrounds and I think it's important to acknowledge Elle's privilege. Yes she got the grades for Harvard because of hard work but her dad's still footing the bill. Not only that but she can drop out at any time and still have that money to fall back on. I think Emmett is one of those situations where the love interest and main character better each other. Obviously Elle is humbled by Emmett's backstory and learns to take things more seriously but Emmett also develops from his relationship to Elle. I think the scene in the store is very important- this is Elle making him up, giving the confidence he needs through the medium she understands: fashion. She hypes him up by making him look hot where before Emmett had hyped her up by showing her how smart she was. Both of them lift each other up and help them see the best of themselves.
When it comes to the trial I have mixed thoughts. I think "Legally Blonde" does the assault and aftermath with more emotion but I've always been of the opinion that music makes everything bigger emotionally. Obviously there's also the homophobia but I think that can be overlooked more in the musical because gay or European is such a banger. Not to mention how many queers adore legally blonde in all of its forms (me included). When we focus on the gay aspect I prefer the musical but I think when it comes to the trial overall I may prefer the way the film does it. I like the awkwardness of Elles trial, it really feels like her first time and we're nervous along with her. When she finally realises that Chutney killed him we get excited with her in a way that I feel is different to the musical. In the musical we know she's going to win because she goes in with so much confidence and the build up is entirely different and I think the payoff is so much better. Another point is the trial is less played for laughs like, there's a lot more comedy with the whole cutaway to the crime but the film plays the murder more seriously, especially with Chutney like, I really feel for her in the film, especially that line of "She's my age".
In conclusion I love both iterations of the musical for separate reasons, I love the soundtrack of the musical but I also appreciate the original text and the foundations it set. I mean, the musical has the advantage of being an ever evolving thing and we've seen more diversity and small changes in recent years whereas Legally Blonde the film is sort of stuck in 2001 and the culture of that year and it's aged a bit in some places. I still hold it as one of the most important films of all time, right up there with stuff like Psycho, Casablanca and The Godfather. Legally Blonde is my Godfather.

i am in full support of lesbian elle woods but i am so tired of people peddling that fake article about the original ending being her with vivian that is Literally Not True and yall are using this Outright Lie to sleep on the much more interesting concept of emmet realizing she is not in fact a cis man and being with the femme to end all femmes has let her embrace a deeply buried feminine side and eventually come to terms with her identity as a trans girl with an immaculate butch academia chic style and it is in fact emmet’s transition that allows elle to in turn realize she’s a lesbian, because while she always loved and adored emmet for the person she is, it had nothing to do with her being a ‘man’ and elle feels even more free and loved and adored in a wlw relationship with emmet than she did before and they have a second wedding/vow renewal so emmet can embrace her new identity while celebrating their loving bond
(emmet doesn’t change her name bc she likes the androgyny and she has an established presence and reputation as a lawyer with that name and she wants to maintain recognizability)

Assigning random fictional characters to orders of the Knights Radiant
My only rule is, they can't canonically have magical powers in their own universe, or else I'd try to assign them based on what magic powers they have. I want to do this based on their character development and the ideals of their Radiant order.
Penelope Alvarez from One Day at a Time - Windrunner
I love One Day at a Time, it's one of my comfort shows. And now that I think about it, Penelope is very similar to Kaladin. They're both veterans who work in healthcare and struggle with depression. Protecting her family and the people around her is one of Penelope's main motivations, and we see her really come into her own as a leader over the course of the series. TV mom of all time, honestly.
Nancy Wheeler from Stranger Things - Skybreaker
I'm not saying Nancy is a cop. Far from it. I think she is motivated by justice though. Nothing gets her going like seeing others being unfairly dealt with, whether it's her friend's death being covered up or a little old lady not being listened to. I will say that she is like the canon Skybreakers in that she has faith in the system and she generally tries to work within it. It's only when supernatural circumstances defy the way the system is supposed to work that she reaches for her gun.
Edward Teach from Our Flag Means Death - Dustbringer/Releaser
Blackbeard is why the Releaser oaths are so concerned with self mastery. He caused so much destruction even without having any magical powers, imagine if he could incinerate things with a touch. Despite all that, Ed refused to let himself directly kill anyone because of what murder has turned him into. His character development is about learning the self control required to create instead of destroy. Also, he totally dresses like an ashspren, they would see him as one of them.
Blanca Evangelista from Pose - Edgedancer
Another iconic TV mom. Caring for the forgotten is not only Blanca's entire thing - breaking off and starting her own house specifically for that purpose is literally the inciting incident of the whole show. Taking care of others is how she copes with the difficult circumstances of her own life, but her friends remind her to take care of herself as well. The actress who plays her - Michaela Jae Rodriguez - moves with a grace that perfectly suits an Edgedancer.
Elle Woods from Legally Blonde - Truthwatcher
I woke up this morning thinking, "Elle Woods would totally be a Truthwatcher," which is what inspired me to make this post. She learns to value scholarship, and she basically uses Progression on all the friends she makes over the course of the movie. Elle heals Paulette's self confidence by helping her realize her best self. She and Vivian help each other realize they both deserve better than Warner. And she speaks truth to power, whether it's to her bestie's shitty ex or her asshole of a professor.
Wirt from Over the Garden Wall - Lightweaver
Probably the easiest to assign an order to. Aside from having the dramatic tendencies and creative ability of most Lightweavers, Wirt definitely lies to himself and others a lot. The show is very focused on Wirt learning and speaking his truths. I also think having a Cryptic with him 24/7 would drive him up the wall in the most hilarious way.
Janine Teagues from Abbott Elementary - Elsecaller
I thought about making her an Edgedancer, I really did. The Edgedancer ideals are a big part of her motivation for getting into teaching. But her character development is headed more in the direction of self actualization. She doesn't only want to be a teacher, she wants to be the best teacher possible. Janine also has the cautious personality and logical problem-solving skills of an Elsecaller.
Prince Wilhelm from Young Royals - Willshaper
Because Wille is constantly surrounded by lies, my first thought was that he'd be a Lightweaver. But he doesn't have the temperament to be a good illusionist. His character arc is more about seeking freedom and self expression for himself as well as others. Okay, mainly for himself. He's just a kid, but now that he (spoilers!) has abdicated the throne he can totally rage against the machine.
Eleanor Shellstrop from The Good Place - Stoneward
Eleanor starts out as probably the worst candidate for a Stoneward you could imagine. Good thing her show is all about self development! Her friends really come to rely on her by the time season 4 rolls around. Her team becomes her main motivation, and she overcomes her defensive selfishness to connect with and be there for others. The one Stoneward quality she did have from the get-go would definitely be her stubbornness, though.
Leslie Knope from Parks & Rec - Bondsmith
Leslie is all about unity and bringing people together. Her personality alone is powerful enough to be a Bondsmith. I definitely think she could fight Dalinar and steal the Stormfather from him, don't you? Maybe it's a good thing she can't worldhop . . .

Find My Way
Summary: Vivian realises that Warner will never respect her.
Notes: I am on a Christian Borle binge after rewatching Falsettos, which also revived my love for the musical version of Legally Blonde. I always loved how they changed Vivian's reaction towards Callahan kissing Elle. I know that the point of the reaction in the movie is to show how people are quick to judge Elle, but I also found it really powerful to see Vivian starting to support Elle. And I also think that this is probably the reason Vivian broke off the engagement. I want to explore Vivian's thoughts with this fic, so enjoy!
AO3
--
Vivian is staring at her ceiling. She's barely slept last night. She keeps replaying what happened over and over in her head.
Professor Callahan kissed Elle without her consent, Elle slapped him, and Callahan fired her. There's no denying that what happened to Elle is vile.
But the thing that Vivian cannot stop thinking about is Warner's reaction.
Warner witnessed the same thing. How could he act like Elle is to blame here? Vivian told Warner to stop 'teasing' her after it happened, and then they left.
Should Vivian have left?
She remembers the look on Elle's face when she realises she's been seen. And for a split second, Vivian had hesitated. But then Elle turned around and saw her hesitating and the next thing Vivian knows, she's followed Warner outside.
"Is anyone surprised?" Warner had said afterwards with a smug smile. He really seemed to revel in the fact that Elle only got her internship because of her looks.
Vivian kept quiet. She also kept quiet when Warner asked if she wanted to come back to his room. She left without a word, leaving Warner dumbfounded. Vivian didn't want to go back to his room. She wanted to forget this all happened.
So she went back to her room, ate some pot noodles, read some law books for fun, because yes, she does that, and then got ready for bed.
But she couldn't sleep. And now her alarm has rung and Vivian is awake in her bed, staring at her ceiling.
Her mind is racing, even though she didn't want to think about it. But why doesn't she want to think about it? This happened. This is assault. Isn't it kind of messed up that Vivian wants to act like she hasn't seen it? That she wants to move on and pretend it never happened?
She's read many stories of women in similar situations. She knows these things happen and now Elle's victim of it too.
Vivian's head is a mess. She doesn't want to sweep this under the rug, but by pretending it never happened, she will. But what can Vivian do? Professor Callahan controls everyone's career, including hers.
How can Elle be helped?
"Us girls need to stick together" is what Elle had said after they first met and Vivian thought that was ridiculous. The other girls are competition in this male-dominated field. And Elle is competition in another way.
Elle is gorgeous.
Elle is Warner's ex.
Elle is everything Vivian can never be when it comes to looks and charm.
Vivian isn't stupid. She knows that Warner is still hung up on her. Vivian might be wearing Warner's ring, but in the end, it means nothing. Vivian has had to sit next to Warner slipping up and calling Elle cute names. She's witnessed him flailing over her. She's seen how Warner has even tried to use his feelings to convince Elle from time to time.
That's why Vivian accepted Warner's proposal. She wanted to shove it in Elle's face that Warner is hers, but who is she kidding.
Well, Vivian has been kidding herself all this time. She comes off as confident, but Vivian's been comparing herself to Elle ever since Elle first stepped foot into that classroom. Again, Elle is everything that Warner wants. She's got the looks and the brains.
Vivian has the brains, but she will never blow Warner away with her looks. She'll always be less than Elle. Vivian's known this, and become of this she's refused to become close to Elle. Sure, during the Brooke Wyndham case, she's realised that Elle is capable and she's started respecting her on a professional way, but in the end, Elle's Vivian's rival.
Elle is perfect.
Elle is what Warner wants.
Elle is the ideal woman in Warner's eyes, since she has the pretty face and the beautiful body.
And yet, Warner has no problems absolutely tearing Elle down when he thinks she deserves it. It was cruel. It was unjust. Callahan forced himself on Elle and Warner acts as if this was always going to happen, as if no one can blame Callahan for it.
Elle is perfect.
Elle has the looks.
So Elle must've asked for it, in a way, right?
Right?
Vivian feels sick when she thinks about it. Being a woman in a male-dominated field is already rough. It hasn't gone unnoticed that Enid and Vivian keep getting other tasks. Callahan has never asked Emmett or Warner to get him a coffee. Callahan has also never asked Elle any of that, and Vivian was jealous of her, but now that she knows why Elle was heavily favoured by Callahan, she feels stupid for ever thinking Elle had it easier.
Callahan only boosted Elle's career with an ulterior motive. He never saw her potential.
And Warner agrees.
And if Warner has no issues treating Elle, who is the person Vivian's up against when it comes to his affection, like that, then what does that mean for Vivian? If Warner can treat Elle, the perfect girlfriend, like that, then how will he treat Vivian during their marriage?
Then it hits Vivian.
She should've seen this coming from miles away, but better late than never.
Warner will never treat her well.
The realisation is horrible, even though it's an obvious fact. Vivian is lying in her bed in her own sweat. She's started panicking and now the truth cannot get away.
Warner will never respect her.
Tears stream down Vivian's face, hitting the pillow.
The worst part is that it breaks Vivian's heart. She does love Warner. Yes, she's also marrying him out of spite, to show Elle she's won, but the reason she wants to win and has been painting Elle as her rival is because she wants to be Warner's.
All this time she was jealous of Elle. All this time, she has seen Elle as nothing more than competition. She saw Elle as a threat who was possibly going to take Warner from her, and why wouldn't Warner want to be with Elle?
But Warner was never going to respect Elle, the same way he's never going to respect Vivian.
--
Vivian cries until there are no more tears left to cry. It feels good, though. She's still heartbroken, but it's good to let it out. It's been a while since she's allowed herself to feel anything like this. She was too busy being the perfect law student and the perfect girlfriend. Crying didn't fit those images.
Her head is clearer now. She knows what she needs to do. It will be easier to act as if nothing's happened, but Vivian has values. She cannot sweep this under the rug, no matter how much easier her career will go.
And this also cannot end Elle's career.
Vivian needs to find Elle. The team and Brooke need her. Vivian mentally creates a plan that involves calling Emmett. He must know where to find her. And Vivian will also call Enid for help. It's time for all of them to work together. Vivian will bring Elle back and she will show her that Callahan was wrong.
"Us girls need to stick together" rings in her head. Elle was right. It's time to stop seeing Elle as competition and it's time to start seeing her as the person who can win this case.
But before that, she needs to see Warner. Vivian drags herself out of bed, puts make-up on her face to hide her exhaustion and sadness, and gets dressed in one of her many business casual looks.
Her engagement ring is lying on her vanity.
She picks it up with a sad smile and curls her fingers around it. Once, this ring meant to much to her. It was a sign that she was better than Elle, at least in one way.
But now she's ready to give it back to Warner, a man she loves, but a man who will never love her.
It's time to choose for herself. It's time to be free from this nonsense competition.
She leaves her dorm room and makes her way to Warner's room.

for wlw steve i was thinking of her as like elle woods, beautiful and knows how to use it to help others and herself, super smart but because of her rich parents and beauty she was never expected to get an extravagant degree, but when her time comes she leaves rooms speechless
but shes like also vivian kensington kinda like snobby and rich, has The last name, on the wrong side of things until she realizes everyone around her are awful people
(i watched legally blonde recently so its on the brain haha)
Sort of like that! I think her talents are in sports in this one. Like I headcannon her as smart and very good with people, great at business stuff under the guise of being a “silly little girl” but she’s actually so good with her body. The type that tries out something random and is just good at it. And Eddie would love watching her move. Not just for selfish reasons but because Stevie clearly gets so much happiness out of pushing herself. She’d be such a like, gets up at 5 am to run person 😂

Status
Age: 27
Star Sign: libra
Date of Birth: September 23rd
Place of Birth: New York
Status: alive
Background Story
(This is short and brief cuz she was made solely for a one-shot)
Jo lives in a 1940’s Los Angeles (in an au where misogyny isn’t a thing for the most part for RP reasons). She was born into a middle class family and as a result was able to receive a good education. Growing up, she developed a love of jazz music, dancing, and crime novels. It was the latter that inspired her to later pursue a career into the police department and become a detective.
At some point in her life, Jo met a man named Oscar Blackwood. The two began seeing each other and just before Oscar was drafted to fight in the war, he proposed to Jo who naturally said yes. The two put their wedding planning on hold for a while and have only recently resumed it now that he is home safe.
Jo worked as a beat cop for a very long time and has only just recently become a homicide detective, her lifelong ambition. She’s very much a fresh face, however, only having worked one very easy homicide case before the one she is working on currently.
Personality
Jo for the most part comes off as a bit of an airhead, for lack of a better word. She’s very smiley, outgoing and kind, but definitely doesn’t seem the brightest. However, she certainly isn’t dumb, being very socially smart for the most part and is able to use her kindness as a way of trying to manipulate information out of people. She’s also lied once or twice on the job in order to gain possible suspects trust and to find out more. She also sometimes plays up her “dumb blonde” personality in order to make others underestimate her and therefore let their guard down. She definitely can be naive but some of it is played up.
She’s difficult to make angry, tending to view the best in people unless they’ve done something truly awful. Jo is easy to upset when she is insulted, however. She also has a habit of getting very excited on the job, even if it’s not socially appropriate such as when she finds evidence at a crime scene or sees a suspect out in public.
She also has a sassy side to her, though outright gossip and slander of others can make her uncomfortable. She can also get distracted while on the job, taking more note of how nice the decor is in a suspects home than their alibi.
Appearance
Jo’s hair reaches her shoulders and is styled in a way typical of the time and has a few beauty marks on her face. She has an hourglass figure and rosy cheeks.
To work she wears a fedora which she carries while inside, a blouse, slacks and a blazer. Outside of work she wears dressed and skirts fashionable for the time, usually in lighter colours.
She wears her engagement ring on a necklace mainly because of her job meaning she has to wear gloves a lot. In terms of her other accessories, she’s a big fan of pearls and gold. She also tends to wear red lipstick and standard 1940’s makeup. She also paints her nails red.
Trivia
She speaks with a trans-atlantic accent (or my very pathetic attempt at it that honestly just sounds like a London accent lol)
Her character is inspired by Marilyn Monroe and Elle Woods
She is a social smoker
She is Catholic (not the toxic kind) and goes to church every Sunday
Her MBTI is ESFJ

Legally Blonde (2001)
Tumblr media
You can foresee every beat in Legally Blonde and ultimately, the picture is little more than a fluffy, breezy comedy - but that’s exactly what it aims to be. This is the kind of movie you’d watch as a teen and fall in love with, always treasuring it even if you start spotting the flaws in later years.
Sorority girl Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) expects her boyfriend, Warner Huntington III (Matthew Davis), to propose. Instead, he breaks up with her. He says she’s not “serious” enough to be wife material for a future lawyer at Harvard. Determined to win him back, Elle applies to Harvard Law as well - and gets accepted.
Two things above all make this film work. The first is Reese Witherspoon. It helps that she’s adorable as a button but one look at her face and you know her soul is pure and clean. This leads us to the second great thing about Legally Blonde; Elle Woods. Though she may come from a rich family and her looks would be able to land her any man she wants, she’s an underdog at Harvard. Men, women, teachers and students all take one look at her and pass judgment without hesitation. They think because she likes pink and takes care of her hair that she’s stupid. She isn’t. No matter where you come from, you see a part of yourself in Elle. We’ve all been in her position and there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing bullies proved wrong. Elle deserves to set them straight because she’s honest, compassionate and charismatic. Even if she wasn't a golden-haired beauty who looks good in a bathing suit and knows it, her personality would win you over.
Twenty-plus years after its release, several elements of the film have unfortunately dated Legally Blonde. For all its talk of not judging people based on their appearances, it utilizes quite a few stereotypes (primarily when shaping its gay and lesbian characters) and if this film were made today, you probably wouldn’t have quite so many moments that approach the #Metoo movement. You could also criticize its conclusion, which works hard to wrap up everything too quickly while also offering everything you want to see. There are several elements director Robert Luketic jettisons unceremoniously when someone should really address them. That’s fine. They don’t take away from the many laughs and moments of sweetness. You know Elle’s unique penchant for fashion will be what makes the difference in the big case she’s been given. That’s your moment of triumph. It might be easier for her to become exactly like her romantic rival, Vivian (Selma Blair) and wear nothing but turtleneck sweaters but then she wouldn’t be herself. You want Elle Woods to succeed. She deserves it.
Legally Blonde could’ve been a lot more hard-hitting. Instead, it’s fun and light, even pleasantly silly. This makes it so easy to digest you almost don’t realize you’re watching an empowering story about the importance of being yourself. You go in expecting some laughs. You get them, and a lot more thanks to Witherspoon’s terrific performance. She makes Elle a real person. You’d be hard-pressed to dislike Legally Blonde; it glitters with charm. (May 8, 2020)

are you team jess or team logan 👀
I'm team Paris
I'm of the Luke Danes School of Thought that Rory had the kind of boyfriend at every stage that she needed. Her first boyfriend (i am excluding everything along with and after the Donna Reed episode) Dean was an ideal first boyfriend, can't get softer than that. Her second boyfriend, during her teens, Jess, gave her an experience with the rumored bad boy types as do most of the fanfictions written by people of the age. Logan was the typical mature!Rory boyfriend until both Rory and Logan were ruined by the writing.
I however, do have a soft corner for Literati because there was something just so harsh and soulful about what each of them have done the other not out of obligation like Rory taking care of Logan at the hospital (yeah I do think that, no offense but that's how it comes across). Literati takes care of each other as a result of this primal sort of love. They recognise each other's potential and Rory needs a non-privilged Luke to her inner Lorelai.
I still hold my point that just like Vivian and Elle Woods should have been a couple, Rory and Paris would have kicked it out of the park with Enemies to Lovers, Introvert Scholar with Extrovert Scholar, Academic Rivalry, Short Blonde Streak of Blood x Tall Brunette Ray of Sunshine, And then They were Roommates tropes and so on.

The little things
Just a lil something i wrote while trying to get out of my creative block let me know you y'all want more ;)
Tumblr media
Castellano tiredly dragged his and his wifes full suitcases through their house to their shared bedroom while she played in the living room with their pups he was tasked with unpacking their vacation bags. Throwing the cases on the bed the wolf scratched his head wondering if rich or cam had even unpacked their own bags yet, although his thoughts didnt wonder too far as there was a knock on the front door. "I got it!" He called out knowing how much his wife elle missed her pups and how much the two pups missed their parents so he didnt want who ever it was to disturb them. Swiftly opening the door he found his father looking quite confused and uneasy, "hey cas sorry to bother you during this happy little reunion" looking past his son benny saw ellie and the pups playing happily "but let me talk to you privately for a minute". Taking a step back the older wolf motioned for his son to follow to which he did closing the door behind him, "okay pops whats wrong? Is it mom? Did the pups do something while they were over there? awe man i knew we should of left them with jack in the north" cas groaned knowing how rowdy and wild his kids could be sometimes especially when joined by their cousins. benny chuckled shaking his head "no son its not that but i was wondering did your mother seem strange to you earlier when you and your siblings came to pick up the pups from our house?" Crossing his arms cas went over the days earlier exchange with his mother in his head. furrowing his brows castellano shrugged shaking his head nothing out of the ordinary coming to mind which baffled his father even more "well cause when i got home from checking out the shop she was unusually quiet and a little stiff you know how your mother is and thats not normal" the younger wolf nodded. it was a sign of warning when his mother was quiet which meant one of two things either she was upset or his dad was in the dog house, most of the time it was the latter rather than the former which explain why he was asking his son instead of his wife. benito gave a deep sigh before ultimately giving up "i know it cant be something i did cause its not her birthday or our anniversary, i got her a bouqet of white lillies the other day so it cant be me" the two shrugged "i dont know dad you'll have to ask her this time" nodding the older wolf turned to leave "give my love to my daughter in law and have fun with your pups figlio". waving goodbye benny left walking towards home to do the impossible since having to ask his wife why she was upset would only make her more upset which in turn might land him in the dog house anyway. the alpha shuddered at the thought of his wifes wrath, sure he was the alpha the leader in the relationship and her loving protector but all that went out the window when she was angry with him and getting back in her good graces wasnt always easy.
Approaching the front door cautiously benny looked around for something to grab to act like he was busy just passing through as a back up plan for a quick escape "always got to think ahead benny boy" repeating his own fathers words to himself he grabbed a box of tools he left out on the porch before walking inside. immediately upon walking in he heard his wifes sniffles and whimpers coming from the kitchen, almost dropping the box benny rushed to her finding vivian at the table teary eyed looking through an old family album of theirs. Instantly going into worried husband mode he put down the tool box holding his wifes tear streaked face in his hands "cara mia" seeing her pouty face always made his heart break "whats wrong amore mio?" he asked looking softly into her eyes as she babbled he just tried to calm her. holding her close to him while she sobbed into his shoulder benny took a peak at the page in question she was crying over and then it all clicked, "benito querido i want a baby!" viv exclaimed loudly holding him tight "i miss our pups being little and having our grandpups around just made me miss it more!". Benny tensed up at the thought of having another little trouble maker running around their small home "amore is that all?" playing it off like it wasnt such a big deal the wolf lifted his wife from her chair carrying her to their shared room laying her on the bed "you sit right here and ill be right back okay let me go put my tools away" kissing her head backing away she stopped him. Vivian had an iron grip on her husbands shirt "hurry back okay mi corazon" her pouty face almost made him want to stay but the stone grip she had drove her point home very clearly "of course fiore" softly kissing her face once more she finally let him go. the alpha let out a breath he didnt know he was holding once he was out of the room now was his chance to run, it started off slow and swift before he broke out into a full sprint not even grabbing his tools to put away. benny had to think of somewhere to hide out for a little bit until his wifes baby fever went away, "im sure my sons wont mind some company" he said to himself quickly rushing off to the bunker that dean and sam had put together for their hunts.
Once there he banged on the door like his life depended on it which maybe it did since when he left benny could tell vivians neediness was getting more severe and primal as it always often did when she had her little fits of possesive wanting. sighing relieved as sam opened the door benny walked right in seeing dean at the large table cas and rich built for them that was adorned with decorative wolves and trees, "alright you two i need your help right now" dean stood up at once "what happened old man?" He asked concerned "nothing serious i just need to stay here since viv wont look here for me". The two brothers looked at each other settling down after ben had riled them up as if it was a life or death emergency "okay ben what did you do this time?" The alpha growled "thats just it sammy boy i didnt do anything my wife wants a baby so for the sake of my safety im hiding out here" dean scoffed at the old wolf. "Okay papa wolf you can stay here for a little while but just until mama wolf calms down but why run from her?" dean sat back putting his feet up "because son my little adorable wife who you lovingly call mama becomes a feral love beast when she gets like this and she wont stop until she gets her way how do you think cas got here? so Ive learned its best to just stay out of sight until this blows over". furrowing his brows sam crossed his arms "so why not just give her what she wants that seems a little smarter if you ask me" benny laughed and shook his head looking at dean "you can tell hes never slept with a crazy baby hungry wolf" the two shared a knowing laugh both having wolf mates and knowledge of what it was like "but if you must know sam we're old our pups are grown and we have grandpups, that would just be us starting over again and i dont know about her but im not ready for that again". The brothers shrugged going back to work as the wolf leaned back and relaxed thinking to himself this was going to be a long couple of days but at least he was in familiar company with no worries of his love hungry shewolf finding him, hopefully.

Bend & Snap
Tumblr media
Rafael Barba xfem!reader Warnings: language, non sexual teasing. (a/n: updating links so i can finally delete the old blog. feel free to ignore. or have a lil refresher!)
“No. Absolutely not.” Rafael chuckled in protest, “have one of your girls and wine night this weekend and watch it.”
“Rafa
” you whined, “come on!” Pouting, you shot him your best puppy dog eyes as your crossed your arms over your chest.
“You remember that I’m a lawyer, right? Who actually went to Harvard, practices law every day.”
“Yes! It’s just a movie, you said I could pick tonight, and I wanna watch Legally Blonde!”
“You mean make me suffer through it.”
“You made me suffer through a documentary about birds last week.”
“That we didn’t even make it halfway through because someone couldn’t keep their hands to themselves.”
“I was bored! And I didn’t hear you complaining at the time.”  You smirked. And he playfully rolled his eyes at you.
“Do I get to call out all the horrible inaccuracies?”
“If you do we’re not debating over the movie, it’s getting paused and will take three times longer to get through.” You counter offered.
“You’re lucky I love you.” He muttered and you squealed, jumping against him in a hug, peppering his face in kisses.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” You paused to give him a deeper kiss, “if you really can’t stand it I’ll make it up to, promise.” With a wink you grabbed your wine glass and skipped off to the living room, quickly pulling the movie up on the t.v.
You were pleasantly surprised when Rafael’s commentary only popped up once in a while, at least at the beginning quarter of the movie there wasn’t much law stuff to argue about. He honestly thought it seemed like another average 2000’s teen girly movie so far, and was just determined to make it through it as quick as he could.
“She’s seriously going to law school to chase after a boy?” He scoffed and you swatted at his chest.
“She got in, didn’t she?”
“I seriously doubt that would ever happen.”
His mouth opened again to continue but with the glare you shot him it closed and you smiled, snuggling back up against him. He shifted slightly a little bit later to refill your wine glasses and then started up again.
“Okay, I’ll give it to you, this Vivian girl’s a bitch.” You giggled at that one, “and Warner? Pretentious douche bag, what does Elle even see in him?”
“He was her first love!” You protested.
“She really needs to get focussed on school if she wants to even think about passing the first term.”
“Just shut up and watch.” You laughed, pecking his cheek gently.
“Now this Emmett guy I can get behind.” You practically snorted at that one,
“Of course you can.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” He chuckled, turning to look at you.
“Oh, cute little nerdy law loving boy? Wonder where you’ve experienced that before?” You giggled, pinching at his cheeks.
“I was not a nerdy little law boy!”
“So if I ask Calhoun you’re saying she won’t have a million embarrassing stories about it?”
“You wouldn’t dare.” He glared and you laughed again.
“I think that’s all the evidence I need Counsellor.”
He only spoke again once the bend & snap scene started playing,
“As cheesy as this is, this part isn’t too bad.” He joked, smirking down at you and you rolled your eyes.
“Perv.” He chuckled, kissing the top of your head in response. When the end was coming up with the big courtroom scene you tilted your head up, “keep your mouth shut, let me live my pink and blonde law fantasies okay?”
“Ok Carino.” He laughed, wrapping his arm around you tighter. There were more than a few moments that you hear him sigh wearily, or let out a huff of breath, you could almost feel him rolling his eyes at the structure of the hearing. But he kept his thoughts to himself otherwise and you thanked him for it, not having to pause or miss any of the climax of the movie.
As the credits started to roll you sat up properly stretching and popping at your stiff muscles and joints, turning toward Rafael, surprised to find a small smile on his face. You tilted your head, brow quirked at him.
“That smile cause it’s finally over?”
“Not entirely.” He laughed, pulling you to him for a soft kiss, “it wasn’t that bad
”
“You liked it!” You gasped, eyes wide and bright with excitement as you bounced toward him for another kiss, “just wait til Calhoun gets a word of that.”
“Hermosa!” He called, a warning tone in his voice as you padded toward the kitchen with the empty wine glasses.
“I’m only kidding Rafi.” You smirked, “but if it happens to just come up in conversation
” you shrieked as he lunged for you, wrapping his arms around you and picking you up off the floor while one of his hands started to tickle at you. “Raf! Stop! Please!” You giggled out, legs flailing, “I’m kidding! I’m kidding.”
“You sure?” He cocked a brow, placing you back on the floor but not letting you go just yet.
“Yes.” You kissed the tip of his nose, “besides it’s not like I hangout with Rita, the only time I see her is when I’m with you and she comes to torment you as you call it. You can admit you liked it, secret’s safe with me. Promise.”
“Okay.” He smiled, meeting you for a gentle kiss, “it was much better than I thought it would be.” Smiling, you wrapped your arms around his neck, lips meeting his tenderly as if a reward for telling the truth.
*
A few weeks later you came home to a note on the fridge, telling you there was a new dress waiting for you on the bed, and to put it on and get ready for a night out. Rafael surprised you an hour later with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a delicious dinner date, but the biggest surprise was when rather than turning back toward home, he turned you towards Broadway. A grin on his face as he revealed he’d gotten tickets for the Legally Blonde Musical to round out your evening.
Though it was much to his dismay upon exiting the theatre you ran into Rita and her date. He sighed at the devilish grin on your face as you greeted the other woman and before he knew it he was left in your dust with her date as the two of you headed down the street arm in arm. The knowing cackles echoing between you that his secret was actually, no longer safe. At the very least all he could do was smile softly, knowing that the love of his life and his best friend were actually getting along, even if it was at his torture.

Yes Legally Blonde should be gayer. Yes that can be accomplished by putting Elle and Vivian together at the end and yes it fits the storyline.
But please consider, make Kyle a stone butch and Paulette a useless bisexual.
Let me explain let me explain (I’m going with the musical version here).
Paulette has known since she was a kid that she liked women too, but she’s never known how to flirt with anyone and settled for the first dipshit that bought her a beer and told her he was from Ireland. When she meets Ky, the new Fedex delivery woman, that little bit of gay rekindles and she’s absolutely done for, Elle has to help her sign for the package.
Elle encourages her to flirt with her and recruits the sorority sisters to help her learn the Bend and Snap. They teach her to flirt with the people they’re used to flirting with: men. Paulette enjoys all the attention she’s never been able to control from men (hence bi and not lesbian!). The Bend and Snap does work on anyone attracted to women, see Enid Hoopes the early 2000s lesbian stereotype (who also deserves a revamp), but that isn’t how Paulette gets a date with Kyle and it’s not how she gets a date with Ky either. She takes her to the hospital and they spend time together, because we all know gays love going mundane places and doing errands together /lh
Anyways Paulette deserves to fall in love with Ky middle name Siobhan, who still dresses in the tight buttonup and tiny shorts btw thank you for coming to my TED talk and please cast me as Ky

It has been done before, but not nearly enough, I feel. So, I present to you my rendition of the Ace Attorney Legally Blonde AU. I think about this when I'm at work a lot so I need to write it down or it'd be more of a waste of time then it has been.
Obviously Phoenix (in Feenie form) is our Elle. He is basically a Walmart brand, mlm Elle Woods, to be honest. He's excitable, wears bright clothes, changed his career track to law from a completely different major, and had a toxic relationship that cost him a lot in his early 20s that he comes out the other side of better. He is Elle Woods.
Edgeworth is a bit more complicated. Phoenix became a lawyer for Miles, yes, the same way Elle went to Harvard for Warner. However, Miles is traumatized and emotionally distant, he's not just a complete douchebag like Warner. So I propose he takes on the love-interest role of Emmet, but the sort of class adversary of Vivian. If Wright is Feenie, Miles is Bratworth (repressed, pompous, and kinda mean) and he is not the "help out of the goodness of my heart" type at that age. He'll come around, though (just like Vivian).
Now for the mentor aspect of Emmet: Mia! Mia is a bit older than Phoenix, so her being a TA during his first year works. Not to mention Ms. Fey got Phoenix to where he is now canonically. She is written for this role and slots into it perfectly in this AU.
Kristoph is Callahan because they are both manipulative sleazebags. I have seen this on other people's versions of this AU and completely agree. Yes, he does hit on Feenie. Yes, it is very uncomfortable. And he will pay for it.
And, of course, Dahlia is the one that breaks Feenie's heart at the beginning. I am still debating in my head whether she is going to law school or not, but she has the same line of reasoning as Warner. Feenie isn't serious enough and she's grown out of their relationship. If she is going to law school, that sets it up as basically the plot of the original film.
Even if he isn't following Miles to law school in this version, Phoenix is ecstatic that Edgeworth is there. Their reunion probably doesn't go so well, Feenie not knowing that Miles is an angry, repressed individual now that doesn't do warm, familiar greetings. Phoenix probably calls him "Miles" instead of "Edgeworth" and he gets upset.
There are four internship spots and, for The Drama, Feenie, Bratworth, Dahlia, and Doug (Dahlia's ex-boyfriend from Turnabout Memories) get the spots. Mia is the TA, so she gets the role of co-counselor for Kristoph. Phoenix flexes his bluffing skills with a little encouragement from Mia and wins the case.
This one is just for fun: Larry Butz is Brooke Windam. Instead of being accused of killing Cindy Stone, like in the first game, he has a sugar mommy he gets accused of murdering.
And that is as far as I've gotten. Feel free to share your ideas with me about this AU, I love reading stuff like that. Thanks for reading :)
